Our Three Most Popular Colors in 2025 for James Hardie Siding in Kansas City

There are multiple reasons that it’s exciting to update the siding on your home, and one of those reasons is you get to choose the color you want!

One of the things we like about the fiber cement offerings from James Hardie, is that they have a wide variety to choose from. This means that you can choose quality siding for your home in the color you want. No settling for something that’s almost right because you have such a limited selection.

We see homeowners in both Kansas and Missouri choose across a spectrum and throughout the year, we will install homes with just about every color on offer.

But some colors are more popular than others.

So we wanted to reveal the top three color choices in fiber cement siding that we installed in 2025.

If you’re the sort of person who keeps an eye on what’s popular because it helps inform you what color you might choose to stay in line with what the market is looking for, then you might want to consider one of these three colors! If you’re the sort of person who likes to know what’s trending so you can choose something completely different and make your home stand out, then you might want to avoid one of these three colors!

And, if you’re the sort of person who just likes looking at pretty updated homes, then this article is also for you. Let’s get started.

Our Most Popular Color of 2025: Arctic White

White is incredibly popular in home decoration and aesthetics right now, and if you watch home remodeling and decoration shows, it might come as no surprise that the Arctic White offering by James Hardie was our most popular choice for homeowners in Kansas and Missouri this year. Neutral colors like white and gray are on trend and will fit in no matter the color of houses in your neighborhood.

Let’s look at a couple of the houses we worked on this year that went for the white look.

For anyone who wants to move beyond neutrals on their home, our second most popular color of 2025 might fit the bill.

Our Second Most Popular Color of 2025: Boothbay Blue

Blue is currently a popular choice on the market (in addition to more neutral choices). This option allows a homeowner to lean toward color and make a statement while still maintaining a strong resale value if they’re looking to sell in future. We most commonly saw this siding choice paired with a white trim.

Here are three houses we equipped with Boothbay Blue in 2025.

We have white and blue in the top two spots and to round out the top three is another neutral that fits in well with any neighborhood.

Our Third Most Popular Color of 2025: Gray Slate

Neutrals are popular in the home improvement space right now (as evidenced by James Hardie choosing Iron Gray as their 2026 color of the year) and gray slate fits right in. It gives a classic look to the house that boosts both curb appeal and resale value.

Here are a few houses in Slate Gray (you’ll notice the color shifts a little depending on lighting and shadow).

The next two most installed colors after Gray Slate were both variations on gray, showcasing just how big gray is right now. If you’re a fan of this neutral approach, you’ll have options to pick the shade that’s just right for you.
