Does your siding come with a warranty?
Absolutely! Your siding will be covered by a warranty from the manufacturer for the materials themselves. After installation, we will provide you with the warranty information and anything you may need to apply for that warranty directly through the manufacturer.
In general, James Hardie siding offers a 30-year non-prorated limited warranty on the material. Mastic has a warranty deal with KC Siding and Windows that gives you a lifetime non-prorated warranty on the material, and it’s transferable, so if you move, that warranty will apply to the new homeowner.
In addition, all our siding installations come with a lifetime labor warranty. This means if you have any issues with your siding after installation, we will come and fix those issues and keep your siding looking and functioning great in the years to come!
As a local, family-owned business, it’s important to us to provide customer satisfaction across the board. We want you to be happy with your siding! If you have any issues after installation or have any questions, please reach out with those concerns, and we will work with you to get everything resolved.

How do I know if my siding needs to be replaced?
There are several signs you can look for that indicate it’s time for your siding to be replaced. First, if your home is more than 20 years old, it could be time for an upgrade depending on the type of siding, even if nothing looks amiss.
Here are the biggest signs to look for is you are considering whether your siding should be replaced:
- Warping and crackling or bubbling: Your home’s siding creates a barrier and when that barrier starts to warp or crack, it will no longer effectively lock out moisture or temperature extremes.
- Soft spots or sagging areas: When your siding has soft spots or sagging areas, not only does this allow for moisture to get in, but it also suggests that there is an issue underneath the siding already that has to be addressed.
- Fading or peeling paint: Fading and peeling paint could be your sign to repaint rather than replace. But if you don’t want to go through the repainting process again a few years down the line, new siding could be a good solution.
- Mold, mildew, pest damage, or dry rot: If you notice this damage on the side of your home, you will definitely want to do a repair. Depending on the type of siding you have and how old it is, you might want to combine this repair with new siding.
- Higher energy bills, drafts or discomfort inside your home: If the inside of your home is cold and drafty in the winter and your energy bills are creeping up, this is a sign that new siding (or windows) could be needed to help keep you more comfortable!
How much does siding replacement cost? How do you price the cost of siding installation?
The cost of installing siding varies depending on what type of siding you choose, the size or your home, and the complexity of the project.
Some of the considerations we take into account when estimating the cost for your house includes the size of your house, the area needing siding, the existing siding on your home, any possible damage or repair that needs to be done, and the cost of the siding material you have selected. (Whether you are choosing to replace any of your windows at the same time will also affect the overall cost of the quote!)
To aid in accuracy and provide a better picture of what the final result will look like, our in-home consultations include a free Hover of your home. Hover measures the size of the house and estimates the materials needed to complete the siding project in addition to providing a rendering of what your home will look like with the new siding installed.
Will new siding increase my home’s value?
Yes! Any home improvement project will increase the value of your home, including installing new windows or siding. Fiber cement siding provides an average of a 90% return on the cost of the project and vinyl siding will net you an average of 70% increase in home value from cost of the project.
Why does the new siding increase the value of your home? This is due to multiple factors including increased curb appeal and better protection against the elements means a lower risk of damage to the house.
What does your siding installation process look like?
The process can vary depending on your project and if any additional needs arise. But our typical process looks like this:
- Set Appointment & Free Quote: Fill out the online form or call our office and we will set an appointment for your free in-home consultation.
- In-Home Consultation & Agreement: Our sales representative will visit your home to discuss our offerings and help determine what solutions work best for you. Once you have confirmed all your decisions, we’ll get the ball rolling.
- Order Materials: We order materials and schedule your project based on availability. This normally takes 4-6 weeks, but we will stay in contact throughout the ordering and scheduling process and answer any questions you have in the meantime.
- Product Delivery & Initial Walkthrough: We deliver all the necessary siding material at your home at an agreed upon day. Your assigned project manager will do an initial walkthrough with you to review everything that is going to be done and double check all the details are correct. Once we’ve determined everyone is on the same page, the installation begins.
- Installation in Process: The installation process itself involves taking off old siding, fixing any damage, putting up insulation, and installing the new siding. You will have a dedicated installation team working on your home and your project manager will regularly check in to make sure everything is going smoothly.
- Completion & Final Walkthrough: The project is complete! Your project manager will conduct a final walkthrough to make sure you are satisfied with the work, answer any final questions, or do any needed follow up. You will be provided with the relevant warranty information for your new siding.
How long does siding installation take?
The siding installation itself typically takes 7-10 days, but this will vary depending on the complexity of the project and the size of your home. We will communicate the planned timeline for completion on your home and stay in touch throughout the process so you are always up to date on the progress of your siding project.
Do you offer financing options?
Yes, we offer multiple financing options! We work with several vendors and options and can obtain financing for your project that way. If you’d like, we can help you with the application process.
If you prefer to pay for your installation outright, or pay for part of it and finance the rest, we can work with you on that front too! We accept different forms of payment including check and credit card, and can calculate down payments into financing and when those payments would start.
